Description

-- ONLINE REGISTRATION SOLD OUT -- Remaining places will be available at the reception desk in the BC building on the day of the event. This activity illustrates the possibility of moving through an infinite space by walking almost naturally on an omni-directional treadmill. This device makes it possible to do away with the size of the room and to allow endless movement in both directions of the space. Here too, the exact correspondence between body movements and what is seen in the headset is the ideal context for not inducing cybersickness. The limitation is rather the control algorithm of the treadmill which must always bring the participants back to its centre and this can create small discontinuities. Come and visit our lab!
