Description
Beginning in 2004, the Humanities and Social Sciences (SHS) courses offered by ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne have had as their objective to familiarize EPFL students with the methodological principles of industrial design and graphic design. Students discover the various stages in the creation of an object, a publication or a poster, from the first sketches to the prototype. They learn to communicate their ideas by visual and tactile means and to acquire a certain autonomy in managing a project. Students are also enriched by a contemporary visual culture and enhance their creativity by experimenting with the expressive and poetic potential of these disciplines.
The exhibition presented during EPFL Open Days 2023 showcases a selection of works produced as part of this Bachelor's and Master's degree course.
