IPESE laboratory (Industrial Process and Energy Systems Engineering):
We are finding ways to use energy efficiently, integrate renewable energy, and manage waste. We use modeling, optimization, and analysis to understand complex systems and their impact on the environment.
This booth is part of the larger exhibition presenting the projects of nearly 40 EPFL laboratories related to climate change issues. This exhibition is structured around four themes:
• Renewable energies and towards net-zero emissions
• Sustainable construction
• Transforming cities and territory
• Protection and management of natural resources
Researchers from fields as diverse as civil engineering, architecture and environmental sciences will present their work and the tools they use on a daily basis.
