Description
SOIL Laboratory (Soil Biogeochemistry Laboratory):
Soil consists of a mixture of solid, liquid, gas, and biota that interact to create a fascinating ecosystem. We aim to understand these interactions and their role in the cycling of elements, such as carbon.
This booth is part of the larger exhibition presenting the projects of nearly 40 EPFL laboratories related to climate change issues. This exhibition is structured around four themes:
• Renewable energies and towards net-zero emissions
• Sustainable construction
• Transforming cities and territory
• Protection and management of natural resources
Researchers from fields as diverse as civil engineering, architecture and environmental sciences will present their work and the tools they use on a daily basis.
