Particles: elementary as a card game

Apr 29, 2023 — 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Salle CE 1 105

Description

Come and discover particle physics in an interactive and collaborative way! In this experiment, developed by the Department of Theoretical Physics in collaboration with EPFL and ECAL Lab, particles are represented by game cards and an augmented reality program will allow you to discover natural phenomena (such as the blue sky, the production of the Higgs boson, positron tomography) from a particle perspective. Some of the presented material is in English. Duration: 60 min Time: 14:00-15:00 Registration on site at the physics booth (CE hall). Please note that the number of places for this activity is limited.
