Description
Visit this special hospital tent showcasing healthcare tools that use artificial intelligence and machine learning.
In this activity, you will step into the shoes of a pharmacy assistant and advise a virtual client at the pharmacy. Are you up to the challenge of handling an unpredicted workplace situation? To help better prepare apprentices for such situations, many vocational education and training (VET) systems have shifted their focus from merely teaching specialized subject content to imparting vocational action competencies. In this context, scenario-based learning (SBL) is an interesting approach, helping apprentices to learn through realistic storylines. At the ML4ED Lab, we have developed PharmaSim, a digital SBL environment for pharmacy assistant apprentices. They have to gather all relevant information from different sources and advise a virtual client. To complete the activity, students propose a solution to the client in written form. All solutions are submitted in an anonymous way and can be used by the teacher to dynamically adapt classroom activities.
