THEMA Laboratory (Theory of Environment, Material, and Architecture):
By taking the sum of human material interventions on the entire surface of Earth and then distributing it on average over 1m2, our impact is represented at an easily readable size and scale.
This booth is part of the larger exhibition presenting the projects of nearly 40 EPFL laboratories related to climate change issues. This exhibition is structured around four themes:
• Renewable energies and towards net-zero emissions
• Sustainable construction
• Transforming cities and territory
• Protection and management of natural resources
Researchers from fields as diverse as civil engineering, architecture and environmental sciences will present their work and the tools they use on a daily basis.
