URBES Laboratory (Laboratory of Urban and Environmental Systems):
Our research aims to describe and predict how cities evolve in time and space, how they modify the local climate, and how they impact people's health and wellbeing
This booth is part of the larger exhibition presenting the projects of nearly 40 EPFL laboratories related to climate change issues. This exhibition is structured around four themes:
• Renewable energies and towards net-zero emissions
• Sustainable construction
• Transforming cities and territory
• Protection and management of natural resources
Researchers from fields as diverse as civil engineering, architecture and environmental sciences will present their work and the tools they use on a daily basis.
